Children's Garden
Our mission: The Children’s Community Garden will focus on serving special needs students in the Berkeley Heights Public School District. The garden will be designed to be American Disability Act (ADA) compliant with special education students and their needs in mind, thereby creating a space to encourage their time exploring, learning, and working in the garden enjoyable and rewarding.
Allowing children in our community to understand the source of food and how to prepare it was the inspiration for creating this garden. It is a garden for children and young adults, built by young adults in Berkeley Heights. As part of Pavni Bhardwaj's Girl Scout Gold Award she coordinated with many vendors as well as other students in the Liming Foundation to construct the garden's components.
